"What a great space. Beautiful and across from a really great bakery. It's a little bit of walk to the river but a very comfortable one with local small boutiques. Enjoyed it a lot to be just a short walk away from everything but not in a touristy busy area"

"Great location - Heroismo station literally a minute to the right oppsite the Hotel.Modern hotel with good facilities and helpful attentive staff, lovely comfortable room, great stay.Good local bars and restaurants. My first time in Porto and i am in awe, such a beautiful city but despite the weather i still managed to see many sights and visit 4 cellars and sample the famous Port ( including a visit to The Douro valley).Looking foward to returning to Porto in the near future - with nicer weather and have no hesitation in staying at the Timbre Heroísmo again. "Booked my first trip to Portugal 3 weeks before heading to Porto and didnt do research on where to stay. But I am very pleased i selected to stay at Hotel Jaguar! I really enjoyed staying in a local area that is conveniently located to the center of Porto. The metro was an easy walk, easy and quick travel to the Sao Bento stop and to Gaia. The staff is wonderful and as a solo traveler this was very warning to me! The drivers to/from the airport were very kind and tmely. Carolina took her time checking me in and escorted me to my room; she even sent sraff to make sure my room was clean and ready since I was an early morning arrival. The evening staff warmly greeted me when I returned back to the hotel and Andre was always so accommodating. The fruit, water and chocolate wafers were so thoughtful and welcoming when i entered my room. I also enjoyed my complimentary welcome drink on my last evening. I asked the evening frint desk for a spa to ger a massage and they promptly found a great local spa within walking distance on th e same road as the hotel which was so lovely and I highly recommend (deBest Massage.) I would definitely stay at Hotel Jaguar again. Porto city center is lovely but very bustling with tourists, traffic and workers that it was such a nice respite to feel like a local, take an inexpensive metro ride a few stops and be in a quiet lical neighborhood with shops, restaurants and a beautiful church which I attended for Palm Sunday Mass. "I really enjoyed my time in Porto and I particularly loved my stay at the hotel. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is near Heroísmo metro station and Campanhã bus station which is really handy for getting around the city as well as travelling beyond Porto."

"Make no mistake this is a luxury hotel. The staff were absolutely wonderful; attentive, professional, friendly and polite at all times. It was evident that much time, money and consideration had been given to the the design and decoration of the both the rooms and the common areas which felt contemporary and stylish. The restaurant was exceptionally good, the best hotel restaurant I have eaten in by a long way. The menu wasn't too large, which is a very good sign, but the food was outstanding. I have no hesitation to highly recommend BessaHotel Baixa and I would love to stay there again. Thank you! Ziggy"

"Stayed at the top floor room with a fantastic view. Very much worthy of staying; nice breakfast room ; breakfast itself was standart and tasty. Close to metro Marques station ; you are in the centre in 10mins inc walking to the metro. "

"The view of the Duoro River from all of the rooms and the lovely outdoor space was outstanding. The walking trail alongside the river was easily accessible. I wished we had a longer stay at this wonderful location."
