"Loved that it was remote but still close enough to town. Roomy house for sure. I would just suggest to bring your own toiletries. We had a bit of an issue with the Wi-Fi but I did not contact the host about it because we really didn't care we were not there for the Wi-Fi 😀. Overall I would stay again. Good communication with the host."

"The house is beautiful and very clean. Fun game room. Excellent view of the lake. Many sitting areas to enjoy. They provide games and books as well. The owner Neil answered all our questions promptly. Local food leaves a lot to be desired. Definitely AVOID Sussex Sit n Chat diner and avoid Silvio’s Villa (food was severely overpriced and tasted like prison cafeteria food. ) "

Love this place!

"My family stayed in room 11 for 12 nights. Honesty, we all agree that this was one of the best motels we've ever stayed in. We chose this place expecting it to be kinda outdated due to the reviews, but the replies from the owner we're so sassy I was willing to risk our entire vaction quality. Boy am I glad I did! The room was beautifully remodled, the outside a little outdated, but who sleeps outside enough to care? Jackie was so helpful and friendly, we acrually felt a sense of family from this motel. No matter the time, she was willing and beyond happy to help and assist. I believe the bad reviews were from people who just cant be pleased regardless. 10/10 would reccomend this motel 100 times. If we're ever in or near Sussex again, we will for sure be staying here. We actually discussed taking another vacation during the summertime, just to stay at this motel and in Sussex again. "
