"Initial impression not good in need of some maintenance. Room appeared to be clean, but house keeping only cleans the obvious don't look under the bed. Large room comfortable firm bed. Balcony nice once floor had been cleaned. AC worked well, shower but no shower stall, plenty of hot water. It served it's purpose. Should I return I would look for other venue. Fair price."

"We spent 3 nights The place was beautiful and clean I was happy to have a coffee machine Pool was greatKitchen had everything you needed The only negative was for my 81 years old mother and going upstairs "

"Our host johnny was great! He welcome us late at the evening after long trip. The home was as described. Swimming pool was fantastic and well maintained. All the equipment was in very good condition. The place is great for family stay. Also location is perfect but only is you have car/scooter. Otherwise you'd need to walk about 5min to get a taxi."

"The property was listed as a 1 bedroom,it was a studio.Just about everything in it from the bedding to the kitchen is worn and needs to be replaced.It needs a good cleaning.It was only me so I did not complain.I was staying on the island for 10 days and only booked here for 3 in case it was not as advertised,and found another place.In my opinion it is a 2.5 star out of 5 in western standards. "Apartment was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Pretty little balcony to watch sunsets over the water. Pool area was always clean and tidy with chaise lounge chairs available. Location was perfect for walking to local restaurants and tourist attractions. Always a red truck or taxis available. Close to airport. Valarie the building manager was very helpful with all your travel questions and needs. Valarie helped us with restaurants, taxis and scooter rental. She made it so easy. Thank you. "

"I stayed at PK for 7 days. Upon arriving I was able to check in early which was great. I had the whole top floor to myself which included a private bedroom with a queen and twin bed and A/C plus a door with a lock. Also included was a large living room area with seating, a couch, fridge and massive tv as well as the bathroom which included body wash and shampoo. Everything was in great condition anf very pricey and was very clean. They take very good care of this place. The location is great,...

"The apartment was in run down area. A first they tried to make us pay 5bath per kw for hydro…However the owner was there on the last day to straighten that issue out. Took almost a week to get a water cooler. Had to recycle our water bottles in the fridge constantly to have cold drinking water. The AC barely worked as the gas needed recharging… Asked the staff to fix it but nothing was actually done to fix the AC… Room was uncomfortably hot all the time…."

"Le seul point négatif est l'emplacement de la résidence en coline, et la pente de la route qui y mène est trop raide, mais en louant un scooter (200 baht/j soit un peu plus de 5€/j) on s'en sort très bien. L'appartement est magnifique, avec une vue magnifique et le soir on entend les petits bruits des petites bêtes : grenouille, ... dépaysement total. Il ne lui manque qu'un lave-linge."

"We had a room with a pool balcony. The pool needed cleaning when we arrived and outside areas need refreshing and new paint. The staff were extremely helpful, pool was lovely and food was nice. However, the hotel is advertised as being on thr beach, but, the building is so far back that the tide is only out for 1 hour a day giving a tiny beach area, the rest of the time you have to access a dirty ladder that leads to the beach and use other properties facilities such as sunbeds if you want to spend any time on the beach"

"The room was great. Very clean and spacious. There's not much of a beach but the view was pretty. The pool is nice and for lunch time there was one particular friendly, flamboyant young man tending the pool bar. The dinner in the restaurant was mediocre. Very expensive for what it was. Trying to be chic but didn't know what they were doing. However, the breakfast was excellent and the staff was fantastic. The lady who runs breakfast and lunch there really knows what she is doing."

"We have had amazing time while staying at The Hive in Lamai Beach. Could the rooms (especially the bathroom) do with a refresh? Probably, but the beautiful staff and wonderful location. The staff, from reception, to restaurant, to housekeeping and grounds could not be more welcoming or friendly. I look forward to returning sometime"
