The One Hotel - OK for a one night stay
Basic hotel. Room was OK and bed OK. Staff very helpful. Had to walk a bit to find a suitable restaurant. Breakfast was not so special
I stayed at the Hotel for 6 nights. The room is good and clean. However, just the shower is quite old and not good condition.
The staff is very nice.
Recommend for budget traveller.
I didn't expect much from this place according to the other reviews. It's really pretty much just average; it's pretty cheap too.
The front desk staff is not too great at English, but they're nice.
This place is like 3-4 blocks away from the main street and transportation hubs; it's pretty dark at night.
Some light comes through the door from the hallway. You can thus also hear noise from there too.
The light above the sink didn't work. I didn't bother to try to have it fixed.
The breakfast is pretty good for 100 baht! The older lady who seemed to be the manager also helped me make some food.
I would have given this hotel a much higher overall rating if it wasn't for the fact that there is a terribly loud karaoke bar inside the foyer of the hotel - which meant I got no sleep despite complaining to the hotel management twice.
The hotel itself is nice, clean, modern, although the air conditioning was very noisy, the room smelled slightly of stale smoke and I had no hot water in my shower. Strangely, there was a nice white cotton covered duvet on the bed, but no sheet on the mattress, so I slept on top of the duvet.
The staff spoke good English and were helpful organising my ferry ticket. But the noise issue is horrendous. There's nothing worse than trying to get a good nights sleep while tuneless drunken idiots are yelling into a microphone.
Loud, barren rooms, rude staff, strange bed sheets, loose electrical cables. Surrounding area isn't the best; we didn't feel especially safe or welcome outside the hotel grounds. Not the usual Thai hospitality in this city, it seems. Not impressed with this hotel, will not return. If you're using it as a stop over before the islands, try somewhere else, or do yourself a favour and time your travel so you don't need to stop over here,
For the price it was excellent, the room was very comfortable and and overall good value for money; the surrounding properties of the hotel look pretty run down, but it's a hotel for overnighting so not a problem.
I've stayed at this hotel twice before and thought it provided excellent value for money. Both times, I was put in a room on a high floor on the right front of the hotel (when looking at it from the main entrance side). However this time, I was put on the fourth floor above reception, and the sound from the karaoke bar next to the lobby was a problem, although not too loud to sleep. However, about ten-thirty a (new, I think) night club started up -- when I looked out the window I saw this place about 20 metres away from the hotel!). It was as if someone had the amp right in my room. Would I stay again? I still like the staff, the restaurant and the location. Maybe I'd give it one more try if I could guarantee a room where I was put before....but maybe not

The desk staff were willing to assist - when or if they understood a quest. Unfortunatelym they had little to no understanding of the English language.

Probably the best in Suratthani....
.... but that's not saying much. If you can help it, don't stay the night in Suratthani - although it is perfectly fine in terms of being safe etc, it isn't kitted out for tourists/travelers NOR is it a nice example of a Thai town.. it is simply a place that people pass through. The hotel itself was perfectly adequate but the receptionist tried to flog us really over priced transfer packages, stating that there were no alternatives. After asking around we discovered several transfer alternatives to the one the receptionist was trying to flog us, which turn out to be twice as expensive as the deal we ended up getting. Always go with Lomprayah ferry and coach service, they are definitely the best.
- integriertes Restaurant
- Duschstrahl ist wie aus einer Miniwasserpistole
