"I stayed at the Barthels for two nights, arriving after a very long drive and immediately being able to relax. It’s clean, modern, and comfortable and in an incredible location right in the heart of the old town of Würzburg - I could see the cathedral dome right outside my window! Despite that, it wasn’t noisy and I wasn’t ever woken up to the sound of church bells chiming or street noise. There’s no parking at the hotel but there are so many car parks nearby it wasn’t a problem, and I enjoyed...

"The stay was comfortable and quiet. I did not use the spa, as I arrived pretty late for my one night stay, but the facility looked very inviting. My only less than stellar note to this property is the lack of an air conditioning system. It was a stuffy summer night and so I needed to have the window open. One or several of my neighbors had a smoking habit which seemed to keep them smoking outside their room all night and into the morning and that smoke consistently entered my room."

"Ruhig gelegenes Hotel mit guter Anbindung zur Frankentherme. Abendbuffet recht gut. Leider war am letzten Tag eine sehr grosse (50 bis 100 Personen) zählende Kneipensportmanschaft (Dart) angereist die entsprechend weitgehend ungestört bis mindestens 1 Uhr nachts direkt am Hotel laut Krach gemacht haben. Die Polizei hat die laute Musik auf dem Nachbarparkplatz zwar ab 22:30 unterbunden dafür wurde dann aber am Hoteleingang laut geredet und gelacht, und der massive Zigarettenqualm kam im Zimmer 2....

"An amazing room and extremely clean. Comfortable bed and a great shower. Friendly and helpful staff. The only negatives were a terrible lack of parking in the area and getting to the amazing room was a bit of a labyrinth. I highly recommend this hotel. Will definitely stay there on our next trip. "

"Very nice boutique hotel in central Wurzburg. Parking is in a parkade 70 metres away but driving (carefully!) right up to the door on the sidewalk to drop off luggage was completely okay with everyone in this pedestrian preferred locale in the old town. Suite was huge with simple mini kitchen. (Small bar fridge and sink but nothing else. I will also mention the little coffeemaking set up was poor.)
