"This hotel was amazing. All staff welcome you with a smile and help with any detail. The room was very cozy as well. Breakfast eggs were cold already at 7:15 or so but the food itself tasted great. Winterset ,the surroundings and the people here are so calm and inviting."

"Our stay at the Rookery Cottage during our cross country road trip between Colorado and Michigan was the perfect stop over. The kids, pup, and I stretched our legs on the Whiterock Conservancy trails that we got to right from the property. The cottage had the rustic charm and whimsical feel that felt homey and cozy. The kids loved saying hello to all the farm animals. It’s a special place that we plan to return to in the future."

"The house was big and beautiful! Very easy to check in and the manager was great getting back to me when I had questions. the kitchen and bathrooms had everything we needed. Hot tub was nice. Loved the gas stove in the living room for heat. The kids (and adults) loved watching the birds at the feeder. The only thing we would change is having a tv in the living room. When grandsons wanted to watch tv, someone had to be in the basement with them. So then the family was separated. But maybe the tv gets too loud with the high ceiling in the living room. We will probably stay again!"
