We had a great stay. The location was perfect, the bed was comfy and the apartment was clean, cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Stowe. Great communication with the host as well. Don’t hesitate to book here for a great stay in Stowe!
We enjoyed our stay at Aaron’s property. We did experience a couple of minor issues, but Aaron was attentive and in the end it was pretty much what we expected being fairly noisy so close to the road though also nice being close to downtown. Very comfortable bed and plenty of space for us in the unit.
This was the perfect spot within walking distance to downtown Stowe. It was the perfect size for my husband and me. It was very clean and decorated so cute. We highly recommend staying here.
Location was perfect. The property was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The parking spot was KEY and being able to walk to Stowe was awesome considering the traffic at this time of year. VERY comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again.
Loved being able to walk to the shops/restaurants and not worry about parking. House was very well kept and comfortable. Bed/pillows were very comfortable. Host was quick to respond. Thanks for a great stay.
Great place. Great location. Stayed only one night while leaf peeping. As noted, there is a lot of road noise. Nice that ear plugs and a sound machine are provided
We enjoyed our stay in Stowe very much! After having an appointment at Dartmouth on Halloween, we wanted to stay and make the most of the experience and Stowe was the answer. Aaron was easy to get a hold of when we needed him as we had a couple issues with the keypad on the door. The property was clean, comfortable and very convenient being right in the village. We were able to walk to Maple street for trick or treating which was a great experience for our sons first trick or treating adventure!
Wonderful historic home that is very close to the lower village. Easily walk to restaurants and shops. It is right on the road, but we didn’t find it to be too loud. The only negative is that being an old house, the floors do creak if someone is upstairs. Overall, we’d highly recommend this apartment.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Annex! It was just enough room and so convenient for shopping, eating and the Stowe Derby which is why we ere there! We will definitely stay there again if we go back to Stowe.
This is a great spot. I read some reviews regarding the noise and proximity to the highway, and yes, you can hear it but traffic dies down to nearly nothing during the evening, and ear plugs and a sound machine are provided (which are more than enough for most sleepers to enjoy a restful night of sleep. Speaking of sleep, the bed is VERY comfortable! VRBO failed to provide access info, but the owner was super speedy to respond and help us gain access. I’d feel very comfortably recommending this rental!
The Annex is in a superb location, literally a hop, skip, and jump from the downtown shops and recreation trail. The place was very clean and bigger than expected. The bed was comfortable and the outside noise wasn’t an issue. I can see if someone has a sensitivity to noise or light may have trouble sleeping but we put the fan on and could barely hear the cars going by. Also the host responds quickly to any questions I had. Overall a wonderful experience!
The size of the annex was bigger than I expected, check in was super easy. As other reviews mention there is some noise from traffic but it didn’t bother us much. Great location, Aaron was very quick to send check in instructions and reply to messages. Would definitely stay again!
My 9 year old daughter loves "mainstreeting"...and this location certainly fit the bill for that activity. Great location and Aaron was a great host...quick response with every inquiry. We will be back!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this property while we were attending a summer wedding at one of the resorts nearby. It is a clean and convenient place to stay! It is walking distance to all of the stores and restaurants located on Main Street and only a 15 minute drive to the Lodge at Stowe resort. Instructions were direct and clear on how to gain access into the building. It is a perfect place to stay for two people with plenty of room to lounge. The kitchen is well stocked with glassware, utensils, etc. if there was a need to cook - but every restaurant we visited was fantastic!! Will definitely book again.
Basic accommodation; good spot if want to walk around Stowe
We wanted to be in town so booked this apartment. It was clean and spacious although the layout was odd. Had to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom and lots of little steps (step down to the bedroom, step up to the kitchen, step back down to the bathroom) and we kept tripping on them. The furnishings are minimal and a bit tired. But we also didn’t pay a lot so weren’t expecting luxury. As other reviews noted, the bedroom is on the main road so the noise and the lights make it harder to sleep. There is a sound machine which we blasted, ear plugs and sleep masks. Blackout curtains would be a welcome addition. The pillows are very hard but the bed was comfortable.
The Annex is located on the Main street, so I knew it was a busy street and the traffic noise was anticipated, but it was a lot worse than I thought it would be because of big trucks driving by in the middle of night and early morning. Ear plugs and white noose machine were provided but not much of help. The place was smaller than I expected, and the kitchen was really tiny and had no dishwasher - something I overlooked. This condo seems to be an old single house converted into multiple units; on our last few days, the unit above the annex guests arrived, and we could all of their steps. The place was nicely decorated, however some places like above the fridge was a bit dusty. Aaron was very responsive, always answering my texts within minutes. The location was good, walkable to many places including the rec path and is right next to a grocery store. The designated parking spot was good, and washer and drier in the basement were very handy after a wet day of skiing.

Mediocre at best
Check in was at 4. At 5:10 pm we had no check in instructions thru VRBO or Aaron after multiple attempts to reach him. He finally called back and gave us check in information. We found the unit easily. We entered the property and started a load of laundry, left and went to Waterbury for a tour and dinner. At 6:15 I received a txt, a phone call and a message thru VRBO from Aaron telling me that he sent us the wrong Information and we checked into the wrong unit. He asked when we could get back to the unit to gather our things because the renter’s were trying to check in to “their unit.”
We had to, inconveniently, forego our dinner plans to get back to the unit to move our belongings and wet clothes across the parking lot to the correct unit.
He also stated that he would compensate me with a partial refund “to have a couple drinks on him” at dinner for our setback. I have yet to see that.
The property detail boasts about washer and dryer on premises. It is located around the building in the basement.
This property sits on the main strip in the beautiful town of Stowe. The traffic is loud at night making it difficult to remain asleep.
Aaron was very nice, however, our evening was a bust with a late check in and a return trip to move our things, which was not appreciated at all.
This experience rates right up there with one of the worst VRBO experiences I’ve had next to being locked out on a 3rd floor balcony in 40 degree whether.
The house was is a great location downtown and loved that it was an historic property. A little tricky finding the parking, but we got instant communication with Aaron and able to figure it out. I would stay again.
This was a great stop for overnight in Stowe. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. The property met all of our needs and included thoughtful touches like ear plugs for sleeping and extra blankets.
