Fall stay
My husband and I stayed 3 nights during peak foliage season. The resort and room were beautifully decorated and in a great location. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Valet service was a wonderful bonus. The only downside was that the gondola was located right outside the balcony and it was noisy when it was running (only if you had the sliding door open). We were usually out hiking or exploring during those hours, so it wasn’t really a bother to us. If we had wanted to relax on the balcony it may have been a different story.

Very comfortable and great host
Stayed for a conference- very comfortable accommodations. Don’t let the gondola just outside the sliding door deter you from booking as we did not find it disruptive. Host was vey responsive and helpful when I discovered I left my iPad in the room. Would book here again.

Great location for resort experience
This room is essentially part of the hotel and provides a resort experience from the car valet service to concierge service. The year-round pool is a great amenity for all ages. Location to the ski mountain cannot be beat.

Amazing room in an incredible lodge
The owner has literally thought of everything here. Fabulous amenities and cleanliness. The bathtub was absolutely glorious after a long day of skiing. The vehicle valets were absolutely next level on service. The ski valet was a little less stellar, but it just seemed to be bad luck for me, personally. Every day, my husband’s skis were ready and waiting. Every day, mine were not, and I’d have to find someone to retrieve, even after my husband specifically asked them to get mine out. (He likes to open the slopes while I’m still booting up.) One morning it took about 15 minutes but I think they just got stuck in the wrong spot inside. If that’s the only hardship I have on a ski trip, we’re doing pretty great! The skiing was fabulous, the place was fabulous, I slept better here than at home. This was, by far, my favorite east coast ski trip, and top 5 of my favorite anywhere. It might actually be my favorite overall ski trip, because we’ve always felt like we have significant trade offs of great skiing with terrible lodging or amazing lodging with terrible skiing. This was the whole package!

We had a great stay ! Unit is next to the over easy gondola and close to the elevator so amazing and quick access to everything! Loved the easy bellman service for luggage and our car, in addition to east check in/out. Ski valet was great too. We had been needing a family weekend away and it was all wonderful. Beautiful accommodations , and everything was very clean upon our arrival. Would definitely go back!

Great trip!
This was our first time to Stowe, and we really enjoyed it. Everything went very well with the room - check in, communication with the management company, check out. The location is almost perfect. The view is really nice. Being next to the gondola was minimally disruptive, just some sound in the morning but it’s not loud. Being in the Lodge and the Village was great!

Property - AMAZING. Property management company - terrible.
Hotel and staff was amazing. Property management company, Stowe Mountain Concierge LLC, was a poor reflection of the brand: cleanliness well below standard with mounds of hair left in shower and beer boxes left on balcony from previous guest, communications were poor and lacking in empathy - defensive when reached out to for resolution, does not understand hospitality business - not a single apology for experience. Owners and Hyatt Corporation may want to reconsider contracts with businesses such as this that are not competent in delivering on expectations.

Few unfortunate things...
We love Stowe. We’ve been numerous times and have stayed at the Lodge at Spruce Peak numerous times. The lodge itself is, in my opinion, one of the finer staples of the Stowe experience. However, this time, we decided to book through VRBO and our experience was not the same. Connecting with the host- your actually talking to the concierge at the hotel. 4 times we were asked for the same information and the same waivers to be signed. They just couldn’t keep track of the conversation, the paperwork, or the booking. Seems to have been confusion with my wife’s maiden name…however this should have been fixed the first time; not the fourth time. We got up, checked in, and were informed we have to contact the concierge for any room concerns. Our safe in the room was broken- called to have it fixed- nobody ever showed up. Then day two, we find a very large bodily fluid stain on our comforter. Not pleased with this years experience in dealing with booking and the hotel. Will return to Stowe-might find other accommodations.

Overall the trip was incredible! You truly cannot beat the Lodge location and the staff is both friendly and extremely helpful. The room is located right next to the loading / unloading area to the over-easy gondola - our kiddos loved it and the noise wasn’t too bad at all. The room as really well kept and clean... we will definitely come back!!!

Loved it!
Our family had a great time at the Lodge at Spruce Peak and would highly recommend to others. We enjoyed all of the amenities of the resort and skiing couldn’t have been easier just walking right out the front door of the lodge. There are pros and cons to being right outside the gondola – nice for ease but for those very sensitive to sounds it’s a little louder outside the balcony. That wouldn’t deter us from staying again and we would love to come back!!!
