"Had a great stay at The Embankment! Was met by the very enthusiastic Bethany who made check in a real pleasure and gave us some local recommendations which turned out to be fantastic! Room was clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee was of a high standard, as we're the biscuits! Bar area had a really good vibe and all staff we met/viewed were friendly and professional. "The rooms are spacious and cosy. The desk area could have done with a dust and the shower fitments were a little leaky, but mainly a great place with fine food in the bar/restaurant! "

"It's a great little country pub. The welcome was warm, and the breakfast was very good. My room was ok (room 5 first floor), the ensuite is small (a larger person would not fit). The bed was creaky and uncomfortable and the noise from the bar is very loud."

"Pros: Great location if you’re visiting / doing business in Ampthill. Great food and drinks downstairs. The staff were always friendly, helpful and welcoming. Cons: no on premise parking. Closest parking is a municipal lot…10 pounds for 24 hours. When I checked in my room was made up as 2 singles instead of a double as requested. Beds were a tad small & uncomfortable. Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors “chatting” until midnight the night before I was planning on checking out. Otherwise...
