We didn’t plan or pack for any rain but when it poured for a solid day, we were thankful for the cabin’s shelter and wifi and umbrella when we went out. "What a great place to relax. The property abuts the shore--maybe a 60-second stroll down a grassy, gentle slope where adirondacks and the dock await. "Yes, you read that right. A short private trail enters park property and leads to a connector of the Western Mountain trail. A short drive west of Southwest Harbor, you'll find this side of the park a bit less overwrought than the gridlock of Bar Harbor. Don't worry though, there are enough restaurants and cafes within a fifteen minute drive to cover all your meals.
