"Excellent communication beforehand. Arranged meal on first night which was excellent. Owners very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. The house was so clean, the two bathrooms were a godsend so no hanging about waiting for them to become vacant. Lovely sitting area outside even though it was a bit chilly in the evenings. Local area is full of lovely places to visit."

"Amazing location; on one side the beautiful Vezere River with a grassy promenade, on the other a short walk past two restaurants up to the main street, with a bakery on one side and the prehistory museum across the street. The house is charming; it is small but the rooms are spacious. We loved the private courtyard. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. Plenty of hot water, plenty of towels. The hosts were extremely responsive to my questions. We felt fortunate to stay there....

The garden and field between the house and river are lovely -lots of birds and butterflies. The tables inside and in the garden were great for our party of 5 and would be fine for 6 to 8. "We were a party of 5 young at heart seniors who enjoyed every minute. The accommodation was of a high standard and a lot of thought went into the detail to make our stay 5*. The beds were very comfortable and the ensuites immaculate. The weather at the time was hot and we made use of the lovely pool and aircon. The location was perfect, isolated and quiet, yet only 6km from a delightful village Monpazier. I hope we have the pleasure of returning again. Thank you Sonja & Mark"

"Second time here and was not disappointed. Jean Marc and Sandrine are wonderful hosts. The house was still as perfect as a year ago and has all you need to enjoy your stay in the Dordogne. I doubt you’ll find a better place to stay locally. Don’t delay book it!"

"This is a lovely house in a beautiful rural setting. Our only recommendation to the property owners would be to update the bedding, specifically in the primary bedroom upstairs. The mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. Also, the description suggests it is a 4 minute walk to the National History Museum and 13 minute walk to the Les Eyzies train station. Unless there is a path through the woods that we did not find, the road to town is unwalkable and dangerous."

"Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour chez Gisèle. La maison est géniale, très bien équipée et très agréable. La terrasse couverte permet de profiter de l’extérieur tout en étant protégé de la pluie et du soleil. La piscine est parfaite avec un grand store pour se protéger du soleil, très appréciable en cas de canicule. Gisèle est une hôte adorable, d’une discrétion absolue mais toujours disponible et à l’écoute. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!"

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
