"Friendly and helpful staff. Good food in the pub/restaurant on site. The breakfast area is separate from the pub area, which we thought was a nice touch. Room was a good size (it was the Stratton Suite). Water was great pressure in the shower. Just one small thing. The door at the top of the stairs needs some WD40!"

"my friends and I only stayed overnight, arriving early evening and left early morning but the room was clean and the staff were polite. I received a phone call shortly before arrival from a staff member asking if we would be eating with them and if they should reserve a table which was very nice of them. the land lady had a very sweet dog who came to greet us and say goodbye to us. "

"One night business stay, Rural location, unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open but they offered a slim down evening meal menu which was adequate for one night , very nice breakfast cooked fresh with , helpful owners nice quirky building with a nice history. "

"Only used the property for sleeping purposes as was out during the day and evening but it ticked all the boxes in that requirement. Expected to have a bath and fridge as brought food but that was probably due to the nature of the room I booked. It was a comfortable stay and staff were very friendly so no complaints. A bit pricy for the nature of the room so would look for a cheaper option next time but no complaints from me on this visit. "

"Overall it was pretty good to be fair, though I think a few things could be improved. The check in was straight forward and you're given a printed sheet to put in the front of the car to cover parking in the pay & display at the rear of the building. The room was small but comfortable and clean and nicely decorated. There were fresh towels and plenty of tea & coffee. "A lovely location with wood/lake walks directly adjacent to the hotel. The room was compact, but clean and well equipped with welcome gifts of water and biscuits. Bed good, shower reasonable, but TV a little small for the room size. Food in the evening and at breakfast was very good. All staff were ultra helpful, attentive and polite. Overall recommended."

"Brilliant!! We had a lovely time staying here with my family on our Easter Holiday. Breakfast was nice and fresh. The outdoor park was also a bonus for my young child to play. Good location to go to Cotsworld and Legoland Windsors. "

Cold and overpriced

"Very cold,unable to reach housekeeper,despite five messages,logs not available for fire unless purchased at 5 per bag.Mice droppings in kitchen cupboards and no water on final day due to Thames Water problem.We have stayed in numerous Cotswold properties and this one was very disappointing and overpriced."
