"We had a great Christmas week staying at the cottage. The cottage was cosy with the log burner and provided for a very comfortable stay. The split of bedrooms worked well for us, we stayed on the top floor with my wife's family on the bottom. There's a large well stocked Kitchen with a big table for us all to sit round. "Fern cottage is a lovely little cottage. It’s let down by not being cleaned throughly. The cottage stank of dogs wee, the mop was disgusting and unfit to use. The kitchen work surfaces could do with being oiled as they are wooden and due for a good clean. Upstairs was clean, beds and bedding clean and fresh. However both bathrooms were not so I had to give them a good clean myself. Fern cottage could be really lovely with a competent cleaner and a lick of paint in the kitchen. Despite all this...

"We had a lovely stay at this cottage being 5 adults and plenty of room but may of been a bit pushed if 6 for sitting room but perfect for us. It's a bit way out on single track road and at first was a bit worried about but found perfectly ok by end of holiday. Kitchen was lovely only downside but it didn't affect us a very small ice compartment but luckily we didn't get much frozen food . There are some steep stairs but a great hand rail so not a problem but worth mentioning if you have mobility...
