Public transit and taxis are hard to come by, so car hire is recommended. "We booked this property last minute. From the moment we arrived and met Deirdre, I had a feeling we were going to enjoy our stay. Deirdre is very warm and welcoming. We stayed in Applewood cottage. It is a beautifully appointed cottage, I couldn't fault it in anyway. It was clean, beautifully decorated and with a very comfortable bed. "Trim Castle Cottage was a great place to stay when we visited the Trim area. We not only visited Trim, but also Newgrange and my wife’s ancestors’ home area in Westmeath. This made the location of the cottage perfect. The cottage itself had a spot to park the car, which was a must have. It was immaculately clean and very functional for the two couples on the trip. We would definitely rent again when we visit Trim in the future. "
