"Staff were very helpful and nice. We had an issue with our shower but it was quickly sorted. Meals taken at the pub were freshly cooked and lovely. Breakfast was left in your room and when you needed more you just had to ask downstairs. For the money we paid it was fair value"

"Our trip to this hotel was overall a pleasant experience, however a couple of items regarding this hotel need to be addressed. 1. The carpets areceorn and dirty, they need changing or at the very least cleaning. 2. The hot water in the shower takes too long to heat up (approximately a minutes) 3. "Very welcoming farming couple who go out their way to make sure everything is OK. Fantastic wholesome farmhouse meals provided. Location is very remote and strongly recommend asking if you can view the old waterwheel during your stay (you'll need a torch!)"

"Lovely room so able to relax. Good communication from the hotel - it wasn't open the night I stayed but I was sent details of the keypad for the front door & key to the room was available. A list of food delivery options was provided as food not served that night. Tea/coffee in the room plus toiletries. "Well equipped for a compact unit, quiet and peaceful location but within easy access of lovely walks on Bodmin moor and around the tiny country lanes Hosts on hand for information on surrounding local area. Small enclosed garden area which was ideal for the dog Very relaxing weekend break"

"We stayed at Keepers Cottage for 6 days in early October. The cottage, although very compact, has everything you need, and more. The hosts have really thought of everything when it comes to facilities for your dogs. The secure exercise field was an absolute favourite with Nougat and Sully, our two bull terriers, they were just so excited to go in there each morning, and last thing each day. Its also great having a safe enclosed area outside the front of the cottage for them to do their business....

"The cottage has everything you need and provides a welcoming homely environment. We stayed with family we had not been with for many years visiting other family members and enjoying some of the many things Cornwall has to offer. Excellent base would stay again"

"This hotel is amazing!!! We have stayed in many five star hotels and this should be a five star hotel!!! It is extremely clean. The rooms are excellent, very good bathrooms. All furnished to a high standard. Would definitely recommend to friends and would definitely stay again. The history to this place is an added extra and the tours are a must"

"Room was lovely and spacious and the hotel is wonderfully positioned especially for Rick Stein’s restaurant. Room was not as clean as it could be and the bathroom had some mould around the shower which needs sorting. Parking is paid for if you don’t book direct with the hotel which seems highly unreasonable. Continental breakfast selection was great and the staff were excellent and very friendly. We only ate in the restaurant once but it was delicious. Lovely hotel and you cannot fault the staff who were extremely helpful."

"With a warm welcome as impressive as the grand facade of The Falcon Hotel, we felt we had made the right choice as soon as we arrived. We had a large light double aspect family room at the front. All was clean, comfortable and appeared recently refurbished. We attended a family birthday party there too which was well-catered for. "
