"This was our first time ever staying in a shepherd's hut, and what a hit it was! The hut was located perfectly on the farm's land, there were other huts but we had enough privacy from the other visitors when sitting outside our hut. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a very small problem with the drainage, but that was very quickly sorted out by the very friendly owners (which were also lovely to chat too and had such sweet dogs who sometimes...

"A fantastic place to stay, I traveled solo all thru Scotland for a few days prior and the hottub was a great way to unwind after driving. Close to Dunbar itself, a very nice and quiet town with a relaxing atmosphere. I would suggest arrival before dark but the property manager was very accurate with direction and even in the pitch black, it was navigable. "Myself, husband and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Foxglove. Great facilities and a fabulous location. We were lucky with the weather so barbequed and sat out with a fire. Stunning coast only a few miles away gave us lots of amazing walks."

"What a find! I booked this as a surprise for husband’s birthday. The hut is so cute and very functional. Beautiful quality sheets and towels. All you could need by way of utensils etc. the grounds are stunning. The grass is like carpet. We walked to st abbs and despite the weather changing from hot sun to torrential rain we had an amazing time. "We stayed one night on our way to Scotland. The hotel is easy to find on the outskirts of Berwick upon Tweed and is located in beautiful grounds. On arrival we were made to feel welcome and check-in was simple. Our room was lovely, very big with a large en suite and a view over the gardens on the "pods". As others have commented the rooms are not totally sound proof, but we weren't bothered by the noise. We slept well in a very comfortable bed. Dinner was excellent. The food was very tasty and the staff extremely friendly. There was a large menu and it was difficult to know what to choose. We ate in the same room for breakfast. There was everything we needed with a small buffet and a good choice of hot dishes. We were in a rush so didn't have anything fancy or too large but it was everything we needed before setting off. If we were in the area we would definitely stay here again."
