"The common areas and bathrooms were very clean, and there was a locker right next to the bed where you could use a lock. While it wasn't in a super central area, it was very quiet and walking distance to a lot of stuff which was convenient. The front desk staff were also very friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are okay with a hostel."

"If you want somewhere basic and well located in Chiangmai old town, this is the place for you. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a lovely area walking distance from lovely shops and places to eat and book other excursions. My only complaint would be that the room was quite basic, there was a lot of noise from other AC generators (despite the one in our room being turned off whilst we tried to sleep) and the shower was not hot. When I first booked online, they made a weird comment about not renting to anyone over 40 (because of stairs), though it was only one flight. The vibe at the hostel was offputting, though. "I had a standard private room, which is in a separate building from the rest of the hostel. Spacious, comfortable room with good amenities. It was awkward at first, because access to the rooms is through the Meetman Restaurant, but the staff made me feel welcome. Great location near the Thapae Gate. "Our stay at the Iris Hostel was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are not extravagant but very clean (we stayed in one of the private rooms). They have a washer and dryer on site. And the location is very close to the Sunday market, and is a straight shot up to Do Suthep Temple. We wish we could have extended our stay here. I hope to be back in the future."

"The communications with this hotel were exceptional! They were quick to keep me posted on issues at airport, and went above and beyond to pick us up late in the evening and check us in. The staff members were wonderful, and the free breakfast was delightful. It is unfortunate that we were heading out the next day since the pool and surrounding areas were inviting. This is a great hotel in close proximity to Chiang Mai International Airport. I would not hesitate to make reservations here...
