"It was a GREAT location, one of only two hotels on Ocean Drive. the grounds were amazing. The building is falling apart a little, there is deferred maintenance, but the room was clean, the staff was Wonderful. we had a view of the ocean, the hot tub was hot, the coffee and breakfast muffins were great. It is what it is and there is SO much to see in Newport that you shouldnt be spending much time in the room. "

"We loved our stay. Although it's in the middle of what's probably one of the busiest & areas in Newport, the location was great for us. We could walk to lots of the sites & restaurants. For the mansions & cliff walk we took the free trolley that's main hub is in walking distance of the Inn. The trolley goes to lots of the points of interest in town. Staff was great. Room had everything we needed. The rooftop deck is great to sit (possible with an adult beverage) & watch the harbor, boats, sunset...

"The condominium was very nice as described. However a few glitches at check-in: no keys in the lockbox so it involved a few phone calls including with VRBO customer service-finally fount them in another unit's lock box and the information sheet provided by VRBO had errors-no contact phone number for the owner of the unit and and incorrect password for WIFI, which the owner also had to communicate. Human errors do happen, but these two were rather critical ones."

"Troy’s place is nicely decorated and very clean ! You can walk to everything . It is such a great location ! It was nice to have the public parking across the street and that it is free October 31 to April 30. My only suggestion would be to have kitchen knives and a toaster . We like to cook breakfast. I would definitely recommend Troy’s place. "

"Great location! Very clean and well stocked bathrooms. Spent a lot of time on the rooftop deck. Only complaint, and it was probably user error that we couldn’t figure out how to shut them off, are the deck lights shining into the upstairs bedroom at night. "
