"The property is in an ideal location for Galway City and surrounding area.. It is dated and could do with some TLC ,along with the garden. The local area has some fantastic scenery and is almost a step back in time. The local Pub restaurant has a great atmosphere ,and the food and beer were marvellous! "

"There were seven in our group, four adults and three teenagers. The home was very comfortable with plenty of room. It was a good jumping off point for day trips to Galway and Shannon, and lots of sightseeing in between. Sally was a great host, and very quickly responded to a couple of requests we had. "The property was as advertised and very secluded on a peninsula. The lake is quite with great sunrise and sunsets. Mike (property manager) was easy to get ahold of and pleasant to work with. "

"This georgian house is impressive but in great need of some TLC. Mary the house keeper/property manager does a great job of keeping it clean and tidy but there are serious things that need addressing in order to maintain the house: the house has damp - stained peeling wallpaper shows this, as do the mushrooms growing out the beam by the front door. I'd urge the owner to get this under control before it takes hold of the property. A few features in the description are untrue: there is no games...

"The big pros of this place are location and size! A once in a lifetime trip with adult children/spouses and this space was large enough for the 7 of us and it is close enough to walk to public transit around Ireland. Easy to communicate with and check in/check out easy. Part of our group ended up delayed by a day but part of us made it and check in and communication was everything! Please note that by American standards the bathrooms/showers are small but there are enough that the space works...

"Aran View Country House was the perfect venue for 18 of us (!) (including the back house) to celebrate our Irish heritage with our father. The in-house "pub" was a perfect gathering place in the evenings, as was the pool room. Industrial kitchen was amazing, as was the dining room. Rooms were super comfy, all of which had their own bath. Location was also perfect for biking and hiking trips to the Aran Islands, the Burren, and Cliffs of Moher, and Doolin close by for some dinners and pub nights...
