"A cosy base with all we needed for a lovely stay in a lovely area. A nice welcome package of flowers, drinks and biscuits, along with a few extras - cooking oil and tea bags. Impressed with the kitchen area, which was well stocked with equipment to enable easy self catering. Denise was a very thoughtful host, willing to respond quickly to questions. One point to note - we didn't want one, but there isn't a hot tub!"

"We really enjoyed our stay. The ground floor is perfect for a large group with a well equipped kitchen, cozy lounge and a dining room which easily seats 14/15 adults. The bedrooms are nicely furnished and nearly all with en-suites. The house is well located within easy reach of Dorchester, Bridport and the coast. Highly recommended."

"Excellent location at eastern end of Weymouth beach with sea views, brilliant walks straight from the front door, lovely cafe -Oasis- at bottom of road right on the beach (recommend fish and chips) and a well equipped apartment with all facilities to stay in."

"This is a lovely cottage, full of character whilst still being comfortable and cosy. The location within the town is perfect. Completely quiet and peaceful but only two minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the main street with its shops, pubs and restaurants. The addition of a car parking space is SO useful....and very rare! Our hosts were delightful. Communicative and available without being in any way intrusive. Altogether, a very good find!"

"Fernlea was our base for a group of friends annual gathering to walk, catch up, eat and relax. It was very well equipped with excellent kitchen facilities and each member of the group was able to have their own room and bathroom. Lots of coastal walks directly from the house allowed us to park up on Friday afternoon and not get back into a car until we left. When the weather allowed views were excellent. Would thoroughly recommend for families and groups. Nearest shops and pubs are a mile or two...

"Excellent property which was spotless, warm and cosy. A brill time was had by all 8 adults. We went to the black dog in Broadmayne New Year’s Eve. Everything we could wish for. Didn’t want to come home but all good things come to an end. Would recommend and definitely visit again."

"We will be looking for a refund as the property was definitely not as advertised. Water ingress under the door and along the walls. It is an old stable which has had furniture put in it but not much else. Kitchen had insects in the cutlery drawer, the cupboard is ard doors were in bad condition. The fridge freezer was clean and worked fine. Mastic around the sink and shower unit badly done. Network kept dropping out and was very slow most of the time. The agent said in correspondence via...

"This house was perfect for our family of 12 including 6 children from 2 - 18 years and 2 dogs with loads of space, super comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms and garden space. The facilities were brilliant and everyone enjoyed the pool table. Within easy reach of many beautiful Dorset beaches, forests and Monkey World, which was a great family day out."
