"My husband and I stayed almost a week here as an inbetween stop from the Carolinas on our way home. The views were fantastic and look just like the pictures. The lake was very peaceful and we walked the complex every morning and afternoon despite the crummy weather. Everyone who lived there was friendly and we enjoyed the restaurant/bar a few times. My only disappointment was we were unable to rent kayaks/ boat because they close down after labor day."

"John was the consummate host in this lovely BNB. We had more than plenty of room to move around. The location was just close enough to get to a handful of restaurants and shops with a quick drive but the neighborhood was also walkable and quiet at night. John gave us plenty of good ideas for a day trip and nearby sights."

"Expected a different atmosphere when checking in. At first entering, a distasteful smell filled the lobby. The receptionist looked like she ran from her cleaning job to take over the desk. We will be looking for a different hotel for our return trip. "

"The staff checking us in was very friendly and we were greeted with come chocolates in our room. However, Our room was right by the breakfast area so we could hear the doors opening and closing early in the morning and there was an on and off ringing noise going off in the bathroom that kept waking us up all through the night (room 126). Even with the bathroom door closed we could still hear it. We were so exhausted after arriving late the last thing we wanted to do was move all of our stuff to...
