"Beautiful location. Lovely staff, delicious breakfast. Clean comfy rooms. Something to note is Uber or similar services are not permitted in the area. We needed a taxi to Truro and all local firms were booked so had to drive. We’d already had a drink in the bar before we realised this, thankfully not enough to be unable to drive but if we had that would have ruined our plans. Also worth mentioning is that a 25 min taxi ride when we got one the following day was £50. We will return to The Lugger but just to enjoy the hotel and immediate location, not when needing to venture away. "

"Amazing stay at the Pier House! Staff were so kind and attentive. Rooms brand new - spacious and comfortable. Right on the beach, coastal walk. And restaurant delightful - generous portions of wonderful local foods and great wine. Lively scene indoors and out, yet peaceful and quiet up in room. "We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Alverton. Everything about the stay was perfect. Staff were helpful and friendly. Premises were stunning. Food was excellent. In particular the hotel went 'above and beyond' when we initially had to change our plans. We will definitely stay again when we return to Truro."

"Stayed many years ago and high standards have remained. Beautiful gardens. Only downside was the dinner menu which did not change over the three nights we stayed. When we commented on this, we were told that out of high season, guests didn’t stay for more than one or two nights."
