"I recently stayed at this budget hotel and was so impressed that I ended up staying an extra night! The room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, thanks to the high-end Hypnos mattress—super supportive and perfect for a restful night's sleep. The bathroom was another highlight: a piping hot shower with excellent pressure, plus some lovely soaps that added a nice touch of luxury. However, I did run into a small issue: the hand soap wasn’t refilled after it ran out on the first night, even though I had daily housekeeping. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience, but it was a little surprising given the otherwise great attention to detail. The only other downside was the brown, dated decor, which feels like it could use a refresh. It's a bit stuck in the past, but honestly, that didn’t impact my stay much at all. Overall, the hotel offers incredible value for money, and I’ll definitely be back! "

"Although hotel is obviously having parts refurbished there was no detrimental impact on guests. Staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food in the restaurant was excellent. We felt valued as guests & thoroughly enjoyed our stay"

"Amazing little find hotel i loved it quickness…. Staff were friendly and helpful too, no problem when I didn’t wanna sleep on the ground floor and the staff on charge changed it without any problem! Would definitely stay again but this time with the Seaview! "

"Check in was very good. Friday night meal was ok, shame no mixed grill, steak, hunters chicken or pedigree bitter. Reported faulty shower 8.30am Saturday morning whilst having breakfast, my wife had a shower and if flooded the bathroom, including soaking the light fitting. She had to use all the towels to stop the bedroom flooding. I was unable to use it. We received a call at 4.00pm to offer a change of room but we were out for the day, so as we were told it was still going to be repaired we said it would be okay. We went for dinner later and checked again and were told it would still be repaired. We left Sunday, shower still not repaired. Quite honestly we should have been told it would not be done. The staff are extremely nice, but it appears they lack support. Could not possibly give a positive review of the place, there were even dirty footprints in the entrance from what appeared to be a plasterer that were not cleaned all weekend"

"Just here for one night. The room is fine, if a little cramped. Very clean, with a hospitality tray and shampoo, soap, and shower gel in the bathroom. Have stayed here for many years but will be interested to see if/how it changes with new owners."

"Our first room was ideal for me and my mum , but the tv didn’t work , so there was no hesitation from the staff and they moved us straight away and wow we got upgraded to a suite which was amazing , my 85 year old was crying when she saw it and the view was overlooking the sea .. plus we had 2 tvs:) Thanks to the staff for making our stay extra special "
