"There was a calm, genteel feel to the hotel and grounds, a sense of grandeur past. The staff were helpful and polite. The grounds were lovely and we enjoyed having a leisurely breakfast in the gardens. It would have been good to have some help taking heavy bags up the stone stairs as there did not seem to be a lift/elevator."

"The cabin is situated in the grounds of the manor house that once belonged to the author Laurence Durell. The hostess is amazing and cannot do enough to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Walk out of the secure grounds and you are in the old town of Sommieres, with its numerous restaurants and bars . This place could not score higher if you want a base to explore the area."

"We really had a great 3 week holiday. It started with a warm welcome from the family. The airco cooled apartment is large and in fact everything is there. (You can even bake pie if you want) In the quiet garden there is a climbing frame, hammock, BBQ and a lovely swimming pool. In a few minutes you can reach the authentic village on foot for French conviviality and good food. Very nice that we could cycle as well. We would go here again in a heartbeat."

"Great location, within walking distance of cafes, restaurants and shops. Super apartment on the top floor of a beautiful house, well appointed,with access to the spacious garden and outdoor seating and eating areas. The air conditioning was a real bonus as the weather in Sommieres was very hot during our stay. The apartment was well supplied with lovely extras such as a welcome bottle of wine and fresh tomatoes from the garden as well as plentiful household supplies for washing and cleaning etc....
