"Eilert Smith Hotel exceeded our expectations!!! This is a Luxury Boutique Hotel. They treat you like royalty right when you walk in the door. I would definitely stay there again in Stavanger. It was the best of all places we stayed in Norway. It didn’t have the most amenities or even the best views but it made up for it in service and quality of the room and everything in the room. "It was easy and simple. The room however did get quite warm but opening the window was not an option as we were on the 1st floor next to the road so sounds echo-ed quite a bit. Not a lot of plugs next to the bed/nightstands. Overall, it's fine - just not quite used to a self-service stay - which was pretty much common everywhere in Norway? It was nice that they had a self-service luggage storage - seemed safe as it was in Norway. "

"I was in Stavanger to go to The September When concert at the DNB Arena. The Clarion Hotel Energy is literally just next door, so I didn't have to think about how I was going to get back to my accommodation after the gig. Added bonus: the hotel is halfway between the airport and the centre of Stavanger. The airport bus (FB40) + regular buses and night buses stop just outside. Alternatively, it is an easy walk (past a lovely lake) or cycle to the city centre. Taxis also seem readily available...
