"The room for a family of 4 was adequate for a one night stay. Beds were comfortable and cleanliness was fine. Arriving on a Saturday afternoon to find the hotel was closed and we had to let ourselves in. Restaurant was also closed and the area did not have anything close by....we eventually ate at a place that was 6km away. Functional if you just want a rest stop."

"Lovely old building with pleasant grounds but the unit lacked a great deal. Firstly, no air conditioning on a 34 degree day is a huge problem for anyone. We had to ask for a fan and leave windows on ground floor open all night in order to get some kind of sleep. NOT IDEAL for safety. "There were 9 of us there for the better part of two weeks and we all had a lovely time. Bathrooms were large and modern. It was terrific having a deck with a shaded picnic table for everyone to hang out. The pond is picturesque, if a little ripe, and the local walks and hikes are very pleasing. Renovations are ongoing: the place still needs some work, but overall it was very good."
