"There's no doubt that The Boat Inn is a lovely, traditional pub in a super location, right on the banks of the Wye with good views of the river from the bedrooms above the pub. The surroundings are wooded and distinctly bosky, which is nice. There is a small village (Redbrook) with a village shop a few hundred metres away across an old railway bridge. The Boat serves excellent food, but only on certain days - Thursday to Sunday, from memory. BUT beware of the journey there, from the main roads:...

"This flat was very nicely appointed, the only issue we had was that despite adjusting the temperature controls in every room they appeared to make no difference to the actual temperature - they were either on or off regardless of the setting. However the booking policies, which are not mentioned clearly on this site, put us off travelling back. "We loved The Apple Store, it was so cozy and warm and has everything you needed. The owners had put up xmas lights which was a nice touch, too. We spent a few nights including NYE and had a fantastic time. The owners were super organised and sent really clear instructions on how to get to The Apple Store. There are fantastic walks nearby and good places to eat with a view. Lots to do and with 2 teenage boys, the WiFi was sufficient! It was proper escapism and we would definitely return! "
