Xalet Montana is lovely; newly/nicely renovated, very clean, well-maintained, centrally located, free parking across the street, friendly/polite staff, nice mountain views, good/fresh breakfast (perfect coffee), free ski lockers at the main Soldeu gondola (gondola is a 5-minute walk & takes you up Grandvalira). It's adult-only, so no loud children running around... just loud-drunk adults! Main cons: The spa was clean and relaxing, but the jacuzzi was cool/tepid, not hot....

"In despite of excellent communications and support from the staff, it is unfortunate that they have been let down by a property that is tired and in need of a facelift! The sofa beds were old and in some instances broken and in need of a replacement. There was nowhere really to dry ski gear and car parking is only suitable for small cars.
