"When you arrive from Seoul with the express bus, the hostel is located opposite the bus terminal. Right outside the hostel, you'll the take the bus 7 or 7-1 to Seoraksan, around 25 min. Friendly and helpful staff that spoke English. The negative was the hostel room was very small. Good for one person, but too small for two. The beds are quite hard, but it's the same all over Korea. "The area is a brilliant location. I came during the snowy season. The hotel lady was kind enough to get the room warm by turning on the heater before we came. However, the shower water was at best lukewarm during my morning shower the following day. The water didn't heat up really."

"Location and view were great. Deluxe room was a bit disappointing. It needed some tlc and a thorough clean. Headboard, lamp, top of fridge were covered in dust, kitchen island, bottom of shower door needed cleaning as well as blinds especially ones near hot tub. This put us off using the hot tub which attracted us to the room in the first place. The bed side table was damaged and wallpaper was missing in places. "I came in after a long hike, and the person who checked me in was friendly. I don't speak Korean, but he was very kind and texted me instructions and spoke a little English. I was very tired, so I spent most of my time in the room (no eating in the room), but it was nice. There is a small café where you check in, and they have a rooftop area as well, but it was raining that weekend. "
