My husband and I stayed this past weekend and absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay. It rained on and off most of the trip but it didn't stop us from having a good time. A photo lovers dream here!
Quite peaceful place, we had everything we needed. Unfortunately I may have left the wrong key to the cabin. Please let me know if I need to mail the key back.
Beautifully decorated two bedroom cabin where we enjoyed true rest and relaxation. There were kayaks, fishing gear, many other outdoor amenities available but the quiet beauty and rest were just what we needed.
My husband and I spent Thanksgiving here. We loved how quiet it was and that we were able to relax. The cabin is cute and cozy! However I do feel it’s false advertising. The kayaks are locked up and we were told they are for the owners use, the picnic area did have some beautiful sites but the brush is so over grown it was hard to see and made it unable to fish. When we first arrived we had to do some clean up of our own cause there was trash all over the screened in porch and old food left open in the fridge. Once we cleaned up we did really enjoy our stay. The hot tub was a nice way to end our evening’s!
It was wonderful; just not having any service from the closest town until being at the home made it difficult to verify the instructions to get there but other then that the place was exactly what my friends and I were looking for!
It is a beautiful cabin with a rustic design that allows you to spend a few days away from the bustle of the city. Nearby there is a river where you can go kayaking or just be in the camping area. I fell in love with all the details of the cabin
The cabin was very well maintained. Some grocery items were available for use if you needed them. Cabin was very clean. If you’re looking for privacy or seclusion, this is the place. One neighbor who never bothered us, very rarely saw her. Wish it had internet, but other than that, everything was great. The manager was very helpful and quick to reply if we had questions.
We all enjoyed the cabin. It felt like we were at home. It was so peaceful. We enjoyed visiting with the neighborhood black lab!! Just kicked back relaxing and enjoy the sites. Went down to river and seeing the bald Eagles flying thatcwas a first for me an I was in awe!! Thanks for sharing your peace of God's beauties with us!
Good, the house has everything you need so you don't need to bring a lot of things, . A very quiet place surrounded by nature. The only thing was that I had no signal on my phone, no calls, no texts, that worried me a bit because the road is also very lonely and a little far from the avenue.

Disliked: Location
Different than I thought
The pictures were deceiving, they gave the thought that the cabin was secluded. That was NOT the case, I felt like I was being watched the whole time. We were not allowed to bring pets, but their was a black dog that was there the whole time, and it smelled awful, like it had been rolling around in something dead. The cabin was cute, and I liked the set up, but we won't stay there again.
This property is secluded and peaceful. The outdoor area with the swing and hot tub were nice. The kitchen had all dishes and utinsels for basic cooking. There was a dollar store close by which came in handy.
Accessing the property- We thought we were lost because the gate to enter said private property no trespassing. The details to access the the property with the gate code were sent shortly before check-in. I didn't realize you needed a code to the gate. I had the information to the enter the home. I had no wifi to send and receive messages. Thank god my partner did. We did get a quick response with help in accessing the property. The property did not have WiFi which was fine for us but I have never experienced that.
I was also a bit taken back to find food in the pantry, fridge and freezer. I have always had to take all my items at check-out.
We were very happy with the whole property, house, and definately being able to go fishing. It was so relaxing & enjoyable there. The firepit, swing , and hotub was really nice. We took the kayaks out everyday and enjoyed the river. The owners of the property are great people to deal with. The beauty & peace i got to have every morning on the front porch with my coffee was priceless. It was also nice having some stores & gas station few miles away for extras & dishing supplies. It was what we nicknamed a lil piece of heaven, and we didnt feel like we had to go anywhere else to enjoy ourselves, it was enough.
Owner was coming back to even add a screened in porch with bunkbeds. There are 2 separate nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Washer & dryer in the main bedroom was nice to have. Loved the martin dining table as well. We just cant say enough about this place, and will definitely be going back again this fall!
Ps
Gave 2 stars because didnt kniw if property mgr was someone other than the owners. If its the iwners it would be a 5.
A little further from home than we thought. Gate wouldnt close . Drove down to river to far to walk. Area to river dangerously steep. Went down once to water. Really pretty. Hot tub was great ,loved firepit and seating areea. Killed one copperhead by propane bottles. Split cost with daughter, soninlaw otherwise wouldnt h ave been able to rent.
Thank you for a good time
Just what we were looking for! So beautiful and secluded!
Such a great property for our 4th of July getaway! River is fairly close with a good access point. Other houses along the river on the other side but we were alone the entire time. Hot tub was such a plus. Plenty of room inside and out for our entire family. Kitchen has everything you should need. Washer and dryer were great to have to use on our trip. Really is a charming place to stay! Thanks to the manager and owner for the great communication before and during our trip. Looking forward to another trip in the future!
Hoping next time we can get a kayak tour with the owner! River was not high enough during our stay to do it. Don't let the shallow look of the river fool you for swimming though! There are several deep spots and if you follow it down there are some beautiful currents and scenery!
