The home was really nice with all the amenities you needed for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy as well as the furniture. The property was pretty secluded in a nice area. We would definitely stay there again.
We booked a short trip to view the Perseids meteor shower and it did not disappoint. The skies were very dark and provided great stargazing.
The cabin was very clean and well provisioned with anything we would need. The beds were comfortable and we had zero complaints.
We would definitely book this property again.
We were attending a gathering at Christ’s 40 Acres so the location was perfect. The cabin has everything you need and was clean and comfortable. We will book this again!
The pics don’t do it justice! Lots of space and a super cute cabin it made us feel right at home. The owner was very quick to respond to any concerns and questions we had. It was well stocked with anything we needed. The view was so pretty in the morning and the wrap around porch was perfect for visiting with family.
Beautiful location away from life for a day to catch up with friends. Plenty of space for the 6 adults gorgeous outdoors. Would like to go back soon and for longer.

Nice location; Cabin needs work.
Though in a nice mountain location, the cabin itself was not as inviting as we hoped. While well stocked, the interior and porch were unclean (dead spiders, residual food on dishes, bedding that looked like it had been slept in), and the roof leaked severely during a heavy rainstorm. The well water, while good to drink, smelled of sulphur due to the necessary treatment, making it unbearable to shower and brush teeth.
Cabin is cozy and I love the porch and the fire place. Was really disappointed in the cleanliness. Dirty floors, dead lady bugs in the windows and live ones throughout the cabin. Roof is leaking into the cabin and black mold on bathroom ceiling and the back room. Fireplace and grill had to be cleaned out before use. I don't like leaving bad reviews but the mold isn't safe. I wanted to let you know so hopefully it can be addressed.
The property was absolutely gorgeous and had the most serene landscape. Definitely far from nearby towns, and prepare for little to no phone service. We loved the escape from work and the bustle of the city, and were able to connect and enjoy each other's company :) The cabin has everything you would need and more, including towels, bug spray and even firewood. The property was very clean and taken care of. It was easy to check in and out too!

Nice little cabin, well furnished. But.......
Property needs some repairs and cleaning but not a bad place to stay. Some plates in the cabinet had dried food on them. Maybe the last customer didn’t pay the cleaning fee? My bigest complaint was i specificly asked if there was access to the k trail ( atv trails ) there is not any. We had to load our atv up and trailer it about 15 miles. I would stay here again. But not for trail rides.
If you’re an astronomer the skies in this area are as dark as they get east of New Mexico.
Although the owner has streetlamps nearby I understand they can be turned off if given notice ahead of time.
Our stay was a comedy of errors on my part but the owner was extremely helpful and understanding. The cabin was tidy and neat. No surprise critter infestations or anything that might turn me away from doing this again.
Unlike some locations this seems to be a place lovingly used and cared for by the owner and their family/friends. Not just a money grab completely devoid of basics like cooking equipment, board games, books, etc.
Would absolutely book here again.
Todo super padre, super accesible el anfitrión, nos encantó porque era en medio de la nada, solo le incluiría wifi con una cámara en exterior por seguridad, todo super limpio y ordenado.
Vrbo rented our cabin to someone else. The property owner graciously refunded us and gave us an RV for the night. We were disappointed, but the property owner did his best to make things right and we recognized that effort and appreciate it.

Comfortable home
Property was overall, generally clean and cute. My kids loved the legos and games. It wasn't as secluded as made out to be as it seemed to be a cabin on family property, with the family frequently driving by on a four wheeler. There was indication of water damage inside the house on ceilings and outside of the house had rotting water damaged wood. The water from the faucets smelled awful to the point where there seems to be something wrong with the water well. It was a decent and comfortable home, but I would not stay here again.
Very spacious cabin in the woods, well equipped with your everyday needs. Love having a washer & dryer since we were there for 5 days. Thank u for accommodating all the fun things for a vacation. Plus, Hochatown was only 45 min. restaurants, shops, breweries, minature golf, etc
We were looking fo a quiet get away and that is what we got. Property sets away from the road so you don't hear any carrs passing. It is very remote so we had to drive to Broken Bow to get groceries. Listing called it a luxury cabin; I would not say that. It is clean and comfortable.
This was a great, clean, and quiet get away spot to unplug from everything and unwind. The cabin had no internet while we were there and no cell connection whatsoever. So prepared for this. Otherwise, we had a great time.
We stayed for a couple of days over the 4th of July weekend. The property was clean and surrounded by serene settings. The owner was nice and accessible for questions. Absolutely loved it and will come back in future.
Our family really enjoyed the whole experience of being at the Smithville Cabin. Our agenda allowed for full use of the cabin while exploring the area near the home. Great space & opportunity to reunite with family.
