"Overall, this is a comfortable home to stay in. Sitting on the front porch is delightful, the river is peaceful, a visit from the kitty cat next-door welcomed. The downside is you hear the trucks down shifting all day long and all night which is why I give it a four. The host responded quickly to any questions or concerns. It is a five minute ride from the Allegheny River Trail , which is absolutely beautiful, and it was everything that I was looking for. It is a challenge to find close good...

"Extraordinary accommodations in a breathless setting. The location was quiet, serene and peaceful with the majestic Allegany river at your doorstep surrounded by a beautiful mountain forest as its background. "My son and i were looking for a midpoint in a curvy Pensylvania route. Parker,PA was interesting. Its a little paddle stop on the Allegheny River. The little house is just sown river of town. Maker sure to ask about kayaks and bikes ahead of time, or bring your own i guess. Sweet little cottage. Private enough for good conversation."

"What a lovely house! The 3 of us came in just to visit Punxsutawney and fell in love with Smicksburg! We enjoyed our stay here so much and would definitely return. The check in was simple and parking in the back worked out great. The kitchen is enormous, stocked with plenty of utensils/dishes, soap, plastic wrap, salt/pepper shakers. "Arrived to an amazing country living house. The views of the fields, pond and tranquility are outstanding. Perfect location to visist with all my relatives that live in the area. Bedrooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Cute little kitchen. Loved having a washer and dryer to keep up with dirty clothes. "From communication to cleanliness to convenience the House on Grand has it all. Familiar with the area, they still offered suggestions we didn’t think of. The kitchen and bathrooms make you feel like you are at home with no detail overlooked. Each room offers a little slice of Western Pennsylvania to include the peaceful front porch. Visiting the area yearly, we have found our home away from home."

"If you’re looking for a place to stay where you feel so calm and relaxed, this is it! This was like mental health wellness retreat for me.
