"The hotel is very big, and some public rooms were quite chilly in the evening, including the restaurant; I had a superior king size room, the mattress was sprung and I could feel the springs; the service tray was very limited, with very cheap biscuits. The chilled water cans were very good. Breakfast was fairly good, but the pastries had run out by 9.15. "

"Great hotel centrally based easy access to main railway station 8mins walking approx. Nice functional room with work space and light. Tea & coffee in room was good. Breakfast, there was a good selection. I ordered evening meals in the bar and they were adequate however limited. My overall stay was very positive and I would recommend this hotel. One thing the hotel would benefit from is a water bottle refil system in a public area. "

"3rd time we’ve stayed here, lovely hotel. Walkable distance into town and only 10-15 mins from train station. Nice rooms and facilities. Let down this time by breakfast service, only two staff trying to clear tables, take orders and ensure replenishment of self service area, that said the hot breakfast was delicious."

"Great property, booked it because it had parking, but on arrival were told it only had 7 spaces and they were all full. So had to park nearby. "

"My friend and I stayed with you 2 years ago. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean. We had a twin room with lovely bedding and very comfortable beds, although the neds did squeak when getting on and off of them. It would be useful to have another hook in the shower room to hang the wet towels. One is fine for one towel, but not two. Breakfast was good, especially the sourdough bread."

"We had a lovely stay, the staff were friendly and it was so quiet. There is parking, a coffee machine available 24/7 and fresh croissants in the morning. The only issue I had was that the mattress was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete so I didn’t get very much sleep but the firmness of mattresses is a personal preference. "

"Efficient check in,comfortable accommodation. The hotel was cold in some places, guests had coats on in some communal areas . On the whole though a lovely relaxing stay . "

"Rooms are very small and the pillows we had were lumpy. The staff were amazing and the breakfast was really good! Walking distance to town center. Back of hotel looks out to Dock Turpin’s grave which was a loud late night hang out for people drinking - lots of litter. "

"We were actually surprised that we had such a nice stay after reading the reviews. You get what you pay for at the end of the day and we paid £40 for a twin room. It was clean and comfortable we got a lovely sea view and the shower was great. The only problem was the check in we waited about an hour in the queue as they required photo id and a lot of the guests checking in were unaware of it so it held everybody up, thankfully we had ours. We would definitely stay here again. "

"Fantastic accommodation, really high end fixtures and fittings. We did hear people coming out of the pub next door between 11:30pm and 12:00am, but didn’t affect our stay. Would defo come again"
