"No picture can do it justice, its just a beautiful cabin on a jaw dropping peice of land. Such a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. All ages enjoyed themselfs so much we extended our stay. Not only would we recommend it we plan to return to experience all the seasons at the Exter Nature Cabins. The wildlife is so friendly there wasnt a day that we didnt get to see hurds if deer or flocks of turkeys plus eagles. "We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very clean and spacious. Big thanks for having the heat on when we arrived as it was quite chilly. The cabin was super cozy and had all of the essentials. Nice that it had basic toiletries as well. Great price and value for this time of year in Maine. A little under an hour to Acadia and Bar Harbor (lodging in closer proximity to those areas was 3X as expensive). We would definitely stay here again!"

Kitchen well furnished, comfy living room with smart TV, oodles of equipment for the lake (paddleboard, canoe, kayaks, fire pits and more) and thoughtful hospitality by the hosts. This camp is the perfect blend of old school and new school--charm and tech. It was just two of us and the size was perfect. Bonus that dogs are welcome! Great VRBO rental that we'd love to stay at again."
