"Surprisingly nice. Everything has been updated. The courtyard is vibey. The rooms are all modern and renovated. The shower was shockingly really nice. Seriously the nicest little roadside motel I’ve stayed at. The perfect spot to stay when visiting Death Valley."

Deceptively lovely house
"This place looks rundown from the outside but is truely lovely on the inside. It's an enormous house with lots of nice fluffy towels and good beds. It's fairly isolated but less then 10 minutes to drive to a supermarket, so it's nice and quiet"

Perfect base camp for exploring the area
"We visited Death Valley National Park, Ash Meadows, Rhyolite, Beatty and Shoshone in a whirlwind 3-day stay in the area. The Big House was incredibly well appointed and very comfortable. Communication with the host was wonderfully personal. We would definitely stay again!"

Good restaurant - although service was slow, they were understaffed. The Shoshone Death Valley Museum is worth visiting. Nice birding trails behind the Museum.
