Breathing views / warm welcome
"My husband and I visited Lake Shoji for the first time in January. It was a rainy day when we checked in so we could not see Fuji San, but the warm welcome we received made up for the lack of view, even before we checked in, a very very kind employee helped us back into our parking spot. He also took our luggage in to the lobby. The desk employee was very kind and was willing to work with our limited Japanese. The owner even gave us a cup of tea and chocolates when we first arrived they also gave us many travel itinerary suggestions for the local area. We went with a traditional Japanese style room. It was very cozy, and spacious for the two of us in the morning rewarded with a beautiful view of Mount Fuji I cannot recommend this hotel enough!
Lake Shoji is the least developed of the Fuji Lakes, and unfortunately this hotel does not offer any dining options (they are working on it tho!). I highly suggest eating dinner before you check in or making sure you bring food with you. "
