"We have stayed at the Herwood inn before and love coming back here from year to year. The apartment was cozy, with unique boho decor and personal touches to make your stay feel like home. Its only a short walk a way from the main street, which is an added plus. They also had a outdoor hot tub which we really enjoyed. I would highly recommend booking for your next visit whether its family trip or a couples getaway. "

"The large home feeling was picturesque and cozy. We loved sitting by the fireplace in the living room on a snowy afternoon. Although the website photos showed a full kitchen that one could cook in, the actual kitchenette facilities were fine for a microwaved evening meal. The large dining table and utensils, plus the food, fruit and beverages offered for breakfast were all great. The refrigerator in the bedroom allowed for good cold storage. Comfortable bed and pillows, sufficient blankets....

"Had a wonderful stay Fri-Sun in the Emory room. So convenient for ski days out at Belleayre Mountain, private, and comfortable. Shadowcrest had everything we needed and wanted. A beautifully, well preserved space that feels like home, clean bedsheets/bathroom/etc, warm water with great water pressure, chairs/ottomans/luggage rack to keep all our belongings off the floor, electric kettle, microwave, mini fridge, beautifully decorated common spaces to relax, and a dining room where you could grab...

"I loved everything about this place ! The room the giraffe house it’s so gorgeous ! Sean the man who takes care of and manages the property is so knowledgeable. He gave my boyfriend and I a tour around the whole property with his goats and when I tell you this man knows the property HE KNOWS THE PROPERTY & history of the area. The experience wouldn’t have been the same with out him. "

"Loved staying at this property tucked away in Mt. Tremper. Walking distance to some great restaurants, the Zen buddhist monastery and good access to wifi. My dog also had a great time walking nearby. I wasn't sure where to dispose of my dog bags, but other than that, a perfect stay."

"This little garden house just through the greenhouse was perfect for my husband & I. We stayed for 2 nights to attend a concert @ Ulster Performing Arts Center. Comfy furniture & well-stocked with towels, bedding, dishes, utensils, etc. We used the hot tub one night as well, which was really nice. "
