"This is a beautiful property with lake Toya on one side and Yoteii mountain on the other. The rooms are the largest we have seen in Japan with a beautiful sitting area and large bathroom with a huge tub both overlooking Lake Toya! This made for excellent firework viewing from the room for the local festival. They also had a nice common area in the hotel with some tables, coffee, tea and hot water to use. The location was convenient to drive to Toyaka Onsen town for food, but also to Rusutsu for skiing. "

"One of the best hotel I ever stayed Room: Larger than the normal you would find in the city. View: We got the wonderful lake view and we can't be more happy with the beauty in winter. Outdoor onsen temperature is hotter than indoor. A beautiful garden right in front of the outdoor. Dining hall: Overseeing the lake and snow in winter. Food: I had the breakfast and its has great mix of traditional Japanese and western delights. Food was great as a whole. Lobby: there is a large resting area with books for you to relax and read. "We had an amazing stay. The food, the staff, and the whole vibe of the decor are incredible. What a cozy, lovely spot. I know the harsh winters can be hard in a property, but I would suggest they do some minor maintenance (wood paneling on private outdoor onsen area, rust on private porch railing, wallpaper in entrance area) to ensure this amazing hotel can stay around for a long time! We want to come back in every season. "
