"Pension Heidi is a charming little pension run by a graceful and kind hearted couple. The rooms and amenities were basic but you can feel the place has character. All meals were delicious and we could tell they were prepared with care and love. We happened to get stuck in intense rain while on a trek and the owners called to check on us and even came to pick us up in their car. We were truly touched. "If you decide to stay at Sansuiso, you have made the right decision. This is a beautiful onsen, with a variety of different type of waters, pools on the edge of the river. We stayed in the Japanese room which is always spacious and comfortable. Do yourself a favour and do the half board (or dinner) it will be one of the best meals you may have ever eaten. The staff is so friendly and helpful. "

"The hotel was good. The room was big enough, and had a bathtub and fridge, and the other usual amenities. I didn't have a meal included, but I did buy one 1400 Yen breakfast buffet, and it was really good. The only 'negative' was the walking distance from the JR station, but that was how I picked it, also because it was cheaper to rent. The nearest grocer wasn't convenient either, even a further walk than the JR station to reach a MaxValu/AEON type store."

"The room was on the top floor overlooking the lake but the trees blocked most of the view. The size of the room was good and the bed was comfortable. It would have been good to have smaller pillows available in the room. I ended up rolling up a towel to make a smaller pillow. Meals were included in the stay and there was plenty of variety. Only real bummer is that I think I left my Prescription Progressive Glasses in the room and can't get anyone to pick up the phones & check!"
