"The food at The Walnut Tree is excellent as is the service and the staff. The hotel is showing its age a bit in the bedroom but it was nonetheless very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room and the water in the bathroom were both very warm. The restaurant is worth a visit even if you’re not staying overnight. "

"Excellent Room. Very clean and comfortable. Not happy about price of parking in hotel car park, nor the fact that it is stated as £15 per night but when it comes to paying, another £1.49 is billed. This practice should be outlawed. The total fee should always be made clear before committing to payment!"

"Had 3 lovely days at Brooksyde. A very comfortable house, a home form home seaside retreat. A great base to visit Lyme Regis, Sidmouth etc. Beer is a really lovely little village with a few independent shops and restaurants. The voucher for the next door shop was a nice surprise. Would highly recommend "
