"Nice enough hotel and the staff were all great. The restaurant closes at 9pm, which can be an issue if you are late travelling. The rooms are clean and tidy, but could do with upgrading to meet modern expectations. I will stay again though. "

"We arrived and the host showed our room ,on the small side , duvet very warm ! Only noise we heard were from other guests rooms , doors banging and noisy fans . Pub very quiet , we were only patrons in the bar ! Friendly owner , breakfast adequate , stayed here as we were exploring other towns nearby , good parking spaces "

"Pleasant friendly staff. Good sized room and bathroom for a couple of nights stay. Breakfast was limited to cooked food only so felt restricted, no fruit, yoghurt or pastries options which would have been my preference and no fruit juice offered. Cooked food was good on Saturday morning but not so good and half portions on Sunday morning and not so well presented which was a shame. A bit noisy in the evenings for us but food was good if a little slow to arrive on Friday evening."

"It is in a lovely location. Very convenient for visiting family nearby. Nothing is too much trouble. Plenty of dining areas. Very friendly staff who will alter the menu to suit. We will always stay here when visiting Bridgwater. This is our second stay here. "

"We stayed here for 2 nights while at the festival. We couldn’t pick up the key until the previous guests had left and the guy on reception was lovely and very accommodating. He gave us a call as soon as the key was handed in so we could get to the festival ASAP in the morning. Really appreciated this! The hotel is full of character, like stepping back into a medieval village or something! Really lovely. The rooms themselves are a little dated and could benefit from a freshen up but we were...

"Really enjoyed our stay. Bedroom large, clean and very comfortable. Biscuits, sweets and peanuts were very welcome. Excellent large clean shower. Breakfast was really good with loads of choice as well. All the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful."

"Very friendly staff . We loved the dining car for dinner . We left early in the morning , so we didn’t try the breakfast. Our room was on the smaller side but very comfortable and loved the decor . Set in a separate building from the pub and dining room . "

"A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track."
