"Loved my stay (in the female only dormitory) - the bedroom, shower rooms and toilets were soo clean, very impressive. Did not use the kitchen much, but was not able to find green teas or coffee - maybe I just did not know where to look. Met friendly fellow travellers . Front desk host helped me with my luggage (rooms are upstairs) This place is great, quiet, and located near Hida No Sato - BUT rather far from downtown Takayama. I missed the bus from and to the station… and had to lug my ever...

"The room we stayed in had a weird smell to it no matter how long we left the window open. It was kind of like stale potato chips. The location was good, but the walls were super thin, so in the morning, we could hear everything everyone in the other room was saying. The room was also a but dusty and as we were laying out the mattresses, dust was flying from the wooden area where the bed was. You get what you pay for, but we paid only a bit more in some other cities and were able to get an actual...

"Owner was very kind and prepared very good dinner even we requested in very late time. It is Japanese style room, so if you are not used to futon it might be hard. Room is very spacious and confortable. Shower is in common place, next to onsen. It is also convenient that there is also an small drugstore to buy some snacks or drinks"

They have tons of food and entertainment recommendations on the walls so I didn't have any worries about how to spend my time in Takayama. Lastly, they had unlimited free tea in the kitchen."
