"This was our favorite part of a 2 week Japan trip. While the onsen’s were great, and amenities were fantastic, my favorite was the location and wilderness. Very remote, with lots and long “2 way road but 1car space” roads before you make it to the hotel which has parking for about 10 guest cars. 10/10!"

"This hotel is conveniently located near the airport and offered shuttle service. The staff was very kind and helpful. There is nothing to eat or dinner the hotel however. It is best to consider this location as a transition point if you fly in late or are leaving Takamatsu very early."

I was served the best meals during my 5 day stay. The hot springs were also very satisfying and I would definitely return."

"Magnificent ryokan experience! Friendly staff, clean private baths, and delicious breakfast. Be aware that no one can wear shoes in the building - they are stored in lockers near the door. It keeps the hotel and tatami mats spotlessly clean. I loved this hotel so much! "

"The hotel is dated as are the facilities. We made the mistake of selecting a smoking room, so our room smelled like an ashtray. It was difficult to determine cleanliness, because the furniture was old and the carpets were also old and stained. Transportation is extremely limited unless you want to ride a bike or walk. We requested a taxi at 5:30 am and were told that it was impossible. The staff members we interacted with were very helpful and polite. We also appreciated the ability to use the laundry facilities. There is a restaurant in the hotel, but if we interpreted the prices correctly, it was quite expensive. "
