"I was only staying overnight but I was very comfortable - I am over 80 and disabled so that was very important. The only problem was that although I thought I had booked an accessible room I hadn't so it is important to talk to the reception team - who swiftly corrected that and found me an accessible room within a few minutes. I didn't like the AI receptionist who answered the phone but she is easily sidestepped by just insisting 'Manager' and you get put through. The dinner was very good."

But the bedrooms are clean, modern and well-designed, the staff are super friendly, the pub is a lot of fun to be in, and the breakfast is very good. Plus the cathedral and school are on the doorstep...and free car parking is a boom."

"What a wonderful night away to celebrate our wedding anniversary, loved our lunch the steak was so good, All the staff were really welcoming, Such a lovely atmosphere! We went for a stroll around the village, when we came back the bar was busy but everyone there was enjoying the evening, We felt really lucky to have the huge lounge to ourselves, Our room was perfect 👌 gorgeous big bed and a role top bath just set it all of nicely, Breakfast was amazing!! Bed was really comfy and fans provided as it was hot. It was quite noisy being on the ground floor flat, you could hear people on the stairs and when the front door shut."
