"After my girlfriend could not come on the vacation due to appendicitis, I decided to travel to Alora solo. The region is just stunning and David and Wendy were extremely accommodating and made me feel right at home . I have never woken up to such a stunning view. "I turned up and they claim they had not been paid by hotels.com, so I was forced to pay again. I am struggling to get my refund. The room was very basic and not as described. I was expecting a queen bed and I got a single bed for example. I had to listen to loud music coming from the restaurant below and this affected my sleep. I was glad to check out and leave. "

"I was surprised by the automatic check-in machine, but it went smoothly. The room was very clean and had the most amenities I've ever seen. Surprisingly they provide slippers and a bottle of wine! There was a vacant lot right in front of the hotel, so we didn't have to worry about parking. Since it was a winter stay, we couldn't use the pool. However, in the other seasons there must be even more fulfilling accommodations."

The staff had WhatsApped me a couple of days beforehand asking what time I’d arrive. Really useful to have the number as the reception isn’t manned 24 hours.
