"It was a huge 1 bedroom apartment, which was good as it helped block out some of the traffic noise. Staff were really nice and helpful, the night watch man booked a dolphin watching trip for me at the same price as it would have been in town, and I was picked up by the boat right in front of the hotel. Breakfast was adequate. The property is a 30 minute walk from the main drag, "

"I had the best week here, the staff were super friendly and helpful. The pools are beautiful and the restaurant does good food. Walking distance to so many Warungs so very handy to find yummy food. Walking distance to the beach. Will be back in the future."

"This was a quaint, quiet hotel located right on the beach. The staff were all amazingly friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The food was pretty good as well. I had an amazing Thai massage at the spa too! It was a very relaxing place a little far out of town but they provide transportation. If you are looking for a more youthful place I might recommend somewhere further in town. I would stay again because of service and tranquility."

All the hotel staff are very polite, welcoming, friendly, they immediately try to help with any issue, very friendly and smiling. The service was top notch. "I have knee problems and had to climb so many steps to get to restaurants. Don’t recommend if you are wheelchair or crutches bound since there’s no lift. Loved the surrounding which was quiet and peaceful walking through the jungle was safe. Best for relaxation and out of busy city life"

"We had a worst experience of staying in this so called villa in Bali. We are lucky that we had planned only one night stay there. It was so smelly, uncleaned,disgusting bathroom and without any privacy and basic facility. We haven't expected much in AUD 40/night but that is even higher rate for this kind of facility.Be careful, Guys!"

"very rustic basic simple hut accommodation, very quiet with the most amazing lake and mountain views. the restaurant is built right out into the lake. the overall place however is run down, the pool isnt clean and there arent many tourist facilities. the manager was annoying, the tv/dvd not working. having said that i enjoyed my stay here but only for a couple of days. i gorta bike taxie ride from across the rd to the hot springs which was about 20 mins away and well worth the visit both days."

"The hotel is set on a hillside overlooking a beautiful valley. Lovely spacious rooms with large beds. The level of maintenance is poor, my room sprang several leaks when it rained and a fresh coat of paint would have made all the difference, some shoddy repair work suggested a low budget which didn't reflect the price levels. "Great hotel. Very quiet and peaceful. The room looked out onto the lake which was beautiful at sunset. Room was big and clean with a huge bathroom. The room also had a connecting living rooms and kitchen area. Tasty breakfast which we could look out over the lake as well. Would stay again."

"One of the best hidden gem in Kintamani area. This place has best view of mountain and lake. All staff is very friendly & helpful. The access to property is a bit confusing, you should ask around in case if you got lost. But it’s super worth it. I want to come back again for sure!"

"Huge rooms, huge bathroom, very clean facilities. Lots of choice for breakfast. Room service is top tier. Staff went above and beyond. We felt like royalty. My friend celebrated her birthday here and it was perfect. Hotel is about 40 mins north of Ubud centre bit remote but views to die for. Very peaceful and serene. I will return."

"Great stay at the Oculus hotel. Food and facilities are amazing with excellent service. The hotel is located on a steep incline with lots of steps and hillu walks into Kintamanti so not recommended for someone with limited accessibility or pushchairs. We booked this hotel to do the Jeep Adventure to Mount Batur and it's a perfect location to relax and unwind away from the south madness. "
