"Loved my bungalow on the sea with private pool. The large hotel swimming pool was also very beautiful. Easy access to the sea via sturdy ladders. Charming secluded nooks with lounge chairs and tables at different levels. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Water shuttle to multiple restaurants on the property. "The hotel itself is lovely, very modern, impeccably clean. W loved the little private beach as the sea was a perfect temperature! The only negative is every day between 12-3pm a DJ plays banging “Ibiza tunes” and you cant get away from it. It is such a strange vibe as most people there when we were there were of an older generation and every time he started up there were groans from everyone around us!! You couldn’t escape the sound- we could hear it on the beach! We were half board and food...

"We stayed as a family of 4 (kids both 11), in late July / early August, and it was great. The apartment is spacious, (as was the garden and parking etc), and the balconies both front and back were lovely in the morning and evening as a shelter from the hot sun. Our hosts were lovely, and cleaned the place and provided fresh towels every few days. And we had fresh home grown grapes every few days too. Brilliant. "Property seems very kid friendly, which is nice, but as we did not bring our children this trip, it was loud and overwhelming with kids running all over. Often difficult to get spots at the pool as well. We almost decided to go next door to the Nana Princess instead. Food was pretty good. Facilities have plumbing issues given the smells in the bathroom. Was not pleasant. Good value but not luxury. Live and learn"

"Fantastic place to stay. Great location. The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the 'Superior House' which is actually an apartment. It had everything you need, microwave, fridgefreezer, hot plate, kettle, iron, ironing board etc. The beds were large and comfy and first class air con. Thoroughly recommended!"

Royal & Imperial Belvedere Resort - All inclusive

"Just had 5 nights at this hotel (late October) and it was wonderful. Busy enough to feel part of something, quiet enough so that there were no queues at all for food (which was plentiful, varied and delicious) and plenty of space in every area (poolside, restaurants, etc). Room was comfy, pools were lovely (if a little cold), sun loungers were plentiful, staff were great (my daughter and I did sunset yoga every day - bliss) and only a 25 minute taxi ride from Heraklion Airport. Deserves every one of it's 4 stars."

"By far our favorite from this trip. Reception was so helpful and helped us get settled and checked in early. The included breakfast buffet was a huge bonus with lots of variety and fresh options. Overall the staff was excellent and we had a very comfortable and romantic stay! "

"Lovely hotel, main pool quite busy but the private beach was amazing with great beach bar and chilled music. We avoided the buffet and had incredible food at both the Cretan restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the Italian for dinner. Charming staff, just needs a minor rethink in bathroom as shower was narrow due to placement of soap holder. Overall a fantastic experience and would highly recommend and return "

"The hotel complex was well maintained with clean and clear pathways. The buildings and rooms were modern though showed some signs of wear and tear, but all facilities worked to the level expected. Our room was lovely, actually a suite, with a personal pool which was wonderful. Food options were plentiful and varied at both breakfast and dinner. Staff were all polite and helpful and friendly."
