"The staff was helpful but seemed mechanical and condescending. Breakfast is wonderful with many options. The bed was clean but had fist-sized lumps. I was informed by the director that the lumps were special for comfort and that all beds have this special mattresses. I was told to turn off the air conditioning when not in the room. This is unexpected in a highly-rated four star hotel. The staff seems to believe that guests are fortunate to stay."

"This is the most wonderful place to stay! Super charming, wonderful and helpful staff, and most spacious and comfortable rooms. There is parking and the gate closes at night for security. The restaurant is elegant and fine dining. This was one of the best dinners we had in France. The Auberge is walking distance to Chenonceau. We will only stay here for future visits!"

"Basic hotel in the middle of nowhere. Has all the basics you need in a very limited space. OK for a one night stay over (over night travel break), but not for a longer stay. "

"I stayed here for 4 nights and had an enjoyable stay. The hotel is a little dated but it was clean and comfortable. The room was basic but served it's purpose. Where the hotel really excelled was with it's abundant French breakfast of Juice,Croissant, jam, butter, bread and hot drinks. More than enough to prepare you for the day. The dinners were amazing. Served with courtesy and plentiful. Also a nice daily variation. I would certainly reccomend this place if you are looking for...

"Room was well cleaned. Cleaning staff were friendly when we passed them as we were departing. Room was quiet and enjoyable, bathroom tired and basic but functional and clean. Swimming pool was larger than expected and a peaceful haven. Negatives were lack of receptionist at departure, being presented with our “bill” and not being permitted to leave without paying… we had already paid.
