"Well appointed accommodation with lots to do for a few relaxing days away. Dog friendly with a lovely field for exercising. Lovely listening to all wildlife from the bedroom. The steps to the mezzanine level are very steep but did not cause us any issues. Really friendly and helpful owners who met us and gave us details of some local amenities. We plan to return!"

"Has a wonderful New Year at the cottage. Lovely welcome basket on arrival and a bottle of bubbles cooling in the fridge! The cottage is lovely - small enough to be cosy but big enough for plenty of room for the four of us plus our dog. The views are gorgeous and it was very peaceful. Weather was terrible but we still went to the seaside at Hastings (about 20 mins) and had a brilliant visit to the Shipwreck Museum and a windy walk on the beach. Loved walking in the woods and down to the Queens...

"This is a lovely and well presented cottage. The hosts are very welcoming with even a cake left for us. The cottage is well equipped, clean and ideally located for the visiting places in Sussex, including Battle Abbey, Rye and Bodiam castle. If you are tall or do not like steep stairs then this is not for you since the bedroom is an attic mezzanine, but is very cosy. We knew this when we booked, so it was not a major problem. "A lovely cottage, beautifully decorated, we really enjoyed our stay. It's in a good location for Battle, Hastings and Rye, but the road itself is quite busy and noisy, which we could hear from the cottage. The close proximity to the other cottage means if the windows are open you can hear everything and they can hear you. We value privacy and a rural location on holiday and we didnt find this as we expected to. Thus aside, the cottage and the views over the fields were lovely. Review...
