"Stayed in the courtyard area, had lovely views over the fields at the back. The room itself was a good size, comfortable bed and storage facilities were all of a good standard, just the bathroom needed a little updating as a bit tired. The breakfast was very good (perfect poached eggs) also had our dinner there a couple of times and the food again was very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Just 3 miles from Durham City Centre and surrounded by some stunning scenery . Would definitely stay here again if we were venturing up that way."

"Great value hotel, close to city centre. Rooms are lovely, large, and so comfortable. Breakfast on the expensive side, but good choice. This is maybe my 5th visit here, never have any issues. Friendly reception staff too!"

"Room 386 is classed accessible but it is furthest from reception and the lift. Not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to the ridiculous distance from the lift. "
